Last-Minute Recipe Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Valentine Collage 4

This evening, as I was about to dig into the pantry for a leftover Chocolate & Caramel Sugar Cookies for the kids, my husband opened the fridge to unveil the treat he had bought for an early Valentine’s celebration. Strawberries, mangoes, apples, dried apricots and a huge bag of high-quality chocolate chips. We set to work melting the chocolate and cutting the fruit. With relish, we dipped the pieces of fruit into the warm, liquid chocolate. Sitting on our knees around the family room table, we ate every single piece, licking off our fingers so that we didn’t waste a morsel. Heaven.

If you are hoping to make a special meal for Valentine’s Day, but are at a loss for ideas, this post provides a sampling of appetizer, soup, entree and dessert recipes. Just click on the recipe names to read more. Light some candles, put on some music, and enjoy your Valentine’s Day!

Oh just awesome stuff. I love that you guys sat on the floor and dipped fruit into chocolate. We went out for dinner to one of our favorite restaurants. So your dulce de leche ice cream is screaming at me. That is one of my favorite ice creams.
