There are times when a recipe strikes a chord in such a way that you instantly know it will become a family tradition for years, and possibly generations, to come. Such was the case with the Oatmeal Butter Tart Squares by Lindsey of Gingerbread Bagels that I spotted on the Pioneer Woman’s recipe site, Tasty Kitchen. For reasons that I explained in my post on Tasty Kitchen today, memories of my grandmother flooded back with the first bite I took of these chewy, caramelized bars. For the recipe and step-by-step photos, head over to read the post.
After printing out the recipe, writing your grocery shopping list and making immediate plans to bake these bars, be sure to head to Gingerbread Bagels for an infinite number of tantalizing sweet treats, complete with step-by-step photos. Lindsey’s tag line for her blog is “Baking Pure Delicious Love”. That’s a concept I can get behind.
