Red Faced Runners Update: Our New Site!

rfr_fbcover

I have some exciting news! It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted about the Red Faced Runners 5k Challenge. Cindy did an amazing job of walking us through her 10 tips for running a 5k, as well as providing an easy-to-follow training plan. So many of you set aside your fears and bravely said “Yes” to the challenge, sending us your red faced photos on Twitter (hashtag #RFR5k) and updating us on your progress on the Red Faced Runners Facebook page.

Now it’s time to move to the next step.

Through what can only be called a complete team effort, we would like to introduce you to the new Red Face Runners site.

In our opening post, I pulled together words of wisdom, humor and motivation from all of our contributors. This is an inspiring group of women who share solid advice that can help you on your journey.

Also, sign up to be a part of the challenge, check in for Cindy’s coach’s corner and stay tuned for posts from the contributors, covering topics such as motivation, gear recommendations, favorite tunes list and training updates.

And be sure to check out the header at the top of the Red Faced Runners site. You just might find your own shining face in there.

If you are a blogger and you want to let your readers know that you are taking on the challenge (and perhaps encourage them to do the same), here’s a badge you can post on your site. Just grab the code and you’re on your way.

Enough of my babbling. Head over to the new site and join us on this journey. You can do it!

I am beginning to feel left behind in this. I have been told by my doctor that running is not my sport. In fact, he all but ordered me to not do it. I have arthritis and for me running does damage. I was happier when this was a cooking site.
