Pull on the glittery party hats, chill the champagne and pucker up for the big smooch at the drop of the ball. It’s time to mix up some New Year’s Eve cocktails, whip up a few appetizers and hors d’oeuvres, and bid adieu to 2012 as 2013 sidles onto our calendars.
My family and I will be indulging in our annual cheese, meat and vegetable fondues, and nibbling away at smoked salmon and capers. With the blood flowing straight to our stomachs to digest our feast, it’s unlikely that we’ll actually make it to midnight. Yeah, it’s a sure sign that we aren’t the party-loving spring chickens that we used to be, but we will be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for our runs the next morning.
This post is chockfull of some of our favorite cocktails and appetizers. Whether you favor dips and spreads, crostini, or party-sized meatballs, this post has something for you.
