They say that bacon makes everything better. Who am I to argue with that? And if you have just a little bit here and there, you don’t have to worry about blowing your holiday healthy eating resolutions. As I mentioned in my Healthy Eating Tips & Tricks for the Holidays, tasting your favorite appetizers and sweets in moderation can help you avoid feeling deprived.

If you don’t believe me that bacon can be sprinkled into recipes in moderation, try a BLT Naan Pizza with Bacon, Arugula & Tomato or Warm Bourbon Spinach Salad with Bacon & Avocado. You’ll be convinced…and really happy because, well, you’re eating bacon. Nature’s happy food.

I love the classic bacon wrapped water chestnuts..and am TOTALLY loving this seafood twist! Anything easy, and that includes bacon, is a winner for me! I can only imagine how good the shrimp tastes with smokey and salty bacon and sweet cherry preserves!
