When it comes to DIY holiday gifts, I typically fall on my face in an embarrassing way, unless we’re talking about food gifts. Chocolate, crushed candy canes, sprinkles…Christmas is the time for putting those extra-special touches on gifts for family, friends and neighbors. I hopped around Pinterest and some of my favorite blogs for some wonderful DIY ideas, and am sharing them here.

You can wrap everything up and adorn the gifts with these beautiful mountain-themed holiday gift tags (free printables) by Family Fresh Cooking.

And while you’re here, don’t forget to scroll down to enter for a chance to win a box of Harry and David’s beautiful Royal Riviera pears. They’re perfect for the holidays and can be used to make the Pear Infused Vodka listed below.

If you’re looking for non-DIY options to fulfill the rest of your Christmas list, check out my Holiday Gift Guide for Food Lovers.

Harry and David’s Organic Royal Riviera Pears are included in just about every Harry and David gift basket. It is Harry and David’s 80th anniversary next year, and they still use natural grafting methods, instead of genetically modifying the seeds. And, of course, the taste is wonderful. They’re sweet and juicy – every thing a great pear should be.

I love to share homemade goodies with family and friends. In the past I have always baked treats to share, but this year we moved into a new house that had a giant peach tree and I had tons of peaches. I made jam for the first time in my life and it turned out great. So this year, my friends and family are getting a jar of homemade peach jam and a loaf of fresh-baked bread.
