When I’m cooking with friends, they often mention to me that cooking can be frustrating at times before they’re not confident of their knife skills or their grasp of some basic cooking tips and tricks. Believe me, I get that. There were many grunts of frustration and choice words when I first started cooking. Now those choice words are saved specifically for chopping butternut squash…don’t make me do it!
Since starting my “how to” series, I’ve shared some basic techniques that I picked up from various cooking classes and my Culinary Institute of America book (I love to geek out on this book even though I’ve never been through an official cooking program).
So, today I’m sharing a list of my favorite “how to”s and I hope you find them useful. There’s something to be said for being comfortable in the kitchen and whipping up meals in no time.
I’ll be adding to this series over the coming months, so if you have any specific requests, please let me know in the comment section below.
Let’s get cooking!
