"Mum, there is going to be a new ocean tomorrow."
"Why's that, T?"
"Because of all the tears we've cried."
The past two days have been rough. On Wednesday evening, we had to say good-bye to our sweet pup, Tiana. She has been with us since she was 18 months old, when she had a "career change" and left the guide dog training program. She has been in our boys' lives for as long as they can remember and we were all deeply attached to her gentle nature and kind soul.
Each day since she's been gone, we've looked for her at the back door, on her favorite soft bed and beside us as we walk up to bed each night. We can't seem to stop looking for her. Our minds won't let us believe that she is truly gone.
Tiana was not just a pet, she was truly a member of our family. Our memories of daily life, holidays with our families and camping trips are entwined with memories of her.
They are good memories and we will will treasure those forever.
But, oh, how she will be missed.
Rest easy, sweet girl. We love you to the ends of the earth.
Oh, Dara. I'm so sorry of your loss. They're truly are a part of the family and bring so much joy to our lives. She was lucky to have you guys as her family! Big hugs to you and the boys.
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. They mean so much to us and it hurts so much when they leave. I do know how you feel and just keep the memories and know you will see them someday! My prayers are with you and your family!
This post brought me to tears remembering our Patch. It's been 14 months since we had to say goodbye to him and most times I'm fine, but there are times like reading this that make me miss him like it was yesterday! I'm so sorry for your loss and understand what you are going through, I think. Things will get better, but now and then a memory will take you unaware. We were not ready for another pup for several months, then our lives changed so that we couldn't think about bringing a pup into our lives for now. Hoping soon we will be settled and can again experience the bond and joy of caring for a dog!! And I hope you and your family will find a new companion to enrich your lives and you theirs!
I am sorry for your loss but I think your joy in how your sweet girl touched you will make her live forever. Blessings.
So very sorry for your loss. It is never easy to say goodbye.
The sadness will be lifted as you think about happier memories of the love Tiana brought to your family.
Sorry for your loss. I am owned by two fur-kids and they are our greatest joy. Tiana will be guiding and watching over you and your family in spirit and love. Stay strong and grieve as much and as long as you need and want for Tiana.
