    PW's Jalapeno-Bacon Poppers

I agree with Pioneer Woman; I have no idea what to call these..."thingies".  All I know is that they are so good that I might trade my first born for a platter of them.  The juices of the bacon seep down into the cream cheese and are a perfect foil for the subtle spice of the jalapeno peppers.

    Mmm...moment of silence, please...
Okay, I'm back.  If you're not convinced to try these yet, I'll throw in the clincher.  They only require three ingredients, not including the toothpicks.  Yep, these can be whipped up faster than you can say, "Tasty morsels of goodness."
I thank Pioneer Woman for her wisdom in putting these ingredients together.  I apologize for the blatant plagiarism of her recipe, but hope she will forgive me in the name of all things spicy and heavenly.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Cut 9 jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise.  By all means, double or triple the recipe if you'd like.  Scrape out the seeds and white membranes.  That's where all the intense heat is, so unless you feel like sweating, coughing, and spluttering, I suggest you follow my directions.  Just looking out for my readers.

Using 4 oz (half of a block) of plain cream cheese, smear cream cheese in each pepper half.

Cut six slices of bacon into thirds.

Wrap one piece of bacon around each jalapeno pepper and secure with a toothpick.

Place the jalapenos on a rack set over a baking sheet.

Put the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. If the bacon has not browned to your liking, crank on the broiler for a few minutes. Serve and enjoy. Warning: your eyes may roll back in your head.

Don't apologize for plagiarizing -- that is precisely what Pioneer Woman does with just about every recipe, and not only does she never give credit...she actually has been informed by other bloggers about her plagiarism of their recipes (word for word, I've seen the proof myself), she (PW) deletes their comments and ignores their emails. She's a fraud. At least you have not called this recipe your own...but the sad part is that it is not PW's either, she lifts everything from others.

These are one of my favorite things to make! We precook the jalapeno's to help get some of the extra kick out, and then we discovered that smoking the poppers is better then any other way. If you have never had smoked bacon, try it. It makes bacon even more incredible, and that is hard to do!
