I agree with Pioneer Woman; I have no idea what to call these..."thingies". All I know is that they are so good that I might trade my first born for a platter of them. The juices of the bacon seep down into the cream cheese and are a perfect foil for the subtle spice of the jalapeno peppers.
Using 4 oz (half of a block) of plain cream cheese, smear cream cheese in each pepper half.
Cut six slices of bacon into thirds.
Wrap one piece of bacon around each jalapeno pepper and secure with a toothpick.
Place the jalapenos on a rack set over a baking sheet.
Put the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. If the bacon has not browned to your liking, crank on the broiler for a few minutes. Serve and enjoy. Warning: your eyes may roll back in your head.

And here I thought that popper could not get any better... but wrap them in bacon!

That is an awesome party food! I think I may just have to try these out this week at my 4th of July celebration! They look SO good - and I love how say the bacon juices seep into the cream cheese... hello stomach growl!

What a great twist on the popper! And we all know that bacon makes everything better!

I have made this recipe several times and everyone loves it! Just make sure you wear gloves when dealing with that many peppers. I didn't and the results were disastrous. You NEVER want to go there!
Jalapeno Pop
OK now I have to make these. Today! I heart jalapeño poppers.

Smokey, creamy, spicy, and easy...a winning combination in my book 😉

oooh I'm already sweating, imagining how hot those treats can be!!!
The BBQ Grail
In the BBQ world, when done outside on a smoker, they are referred to as ABTs (Atomic Buffalo Turds). Yes, I know. Not very appetizing sounding, but they are amazingly tasty.
A tip for those who like the jalapeno flavor but can stand the heat is after cutting and half and de-seeding and de-veining, soak them in Sprint over night. This will take the heat out and still leave the flavor.
The heated Sprite then makes a great spritz for pork or chicken on the grill.

Thanks for posting this - This is a great appetizer for upcoming cookouts!

You made my evening! Bacon and peppers are two of my favorite ingredients. I saw this post earlier in the day, and purchased the ingredients on the way home this afternoon. The poppers were delicious. I am waiting on a second batch in the oven while I write this comment. Thanks!

Poppers are good, jalapeños are good, bacon is definitely good. Perfect appetizers, which means i have to eat more than one. That's totally fine my me.
Looks like you've made a bunch there. Got any more?
