Healthy dips are always great to have on hand, whether you're planning for your next game day party, you've been assigned to bring an appetizer to the holiday party or you're trying to ward off the afternoon junk food cravings. Most of these healthy dip recipes take just mere minutes to make, and there's everything from layered dips to yogurt dips to hummus and guacamole.
Now that you have the dip recipes taken care of, let's talk about serving options.
What should I serve with dips?
- Chips:Tortilla chips (I love sweet potato flavored ones!), pita chips, potato chips, black bean chips (Trader Joe's has some good black bean quinoa ones), homemade baked tortilla or pita chips
- Crackers: There are so many good ones available now. Some of my favorites are soy crackers, sweet potato crackers and so on. Take a wander down the cracker aisle at your supermarket to find some interesting options.
- Vegetables: Broccoli (blanch for 1 to 2 minutes if you don't like it raw), carrots, celery, cucumber, radish, asparagus spears (blanch first), endive leaves, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower
- Mini skewers: Pick up some appetizer skewers, like these ones or these festive ones (affiliate), and thread on grilled shrimp, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls, or cheese and olives.
