Dive into these healthy recipes for a year of healthy living and weight loss. There’s something for everyone, from snacks and soups to vegetarian dishes and desserts.
Recipe for Health & Weight Loss in 2014

Add six weeks to January 1st and you hit the time that knocks the resolve out of most New Year’s resolutions. If promises to yourself involve losing weight or eating healthfully, don’t fall into that trap where you find yourself eating the same thing everyday for lunch, or a pile of lettuce with a tasteless piece of chicken for dinner.

Just say “NO!” to boring food.

When I started my weight loss and healthy living journey, resulting in a loss of 30 pounds (see before & after photos), I knew one thing for certain…

If it didn’t taste good, I wouldn’t be eating it for long.

And then a wheel of Brie would somehow make it into my fridge. Then everything would go to the dogs.

That’s where this massive list of recipe ideas, from my blog and some of my favorite blogs around the web, comes in. The recipes on Cookin’ Canuck, as well as a couple of the other blogs, include nutritional information for those who are keeping track of calories, saturated fat, sodium, and so on.

All of these recipes were chosen because they are exactly the sorts of things that my family and I love to eat. There are plenty of herbs and spices, there is comfort without the calorie overload and there’s flavor in every bite.

They’ll make you forget that “diet” word and make you fall in love with good, clean eating all over again.

    Looking at the list of delicious foods which not only are mouth watering dishes but are also helpful in keeping one fit and healthy is simply unbelievable.The soups look soul soothing while the salads look just gorgeous. If healthy cooking could be so flavorful and great with the recipes keeping a tab on the intake of calories,saturated fats and sodium, then eating could be so enjoyable.I am certainly going to try a few of these lovely recipes soon and try and keep up with my new year resolution of keeping a check on the intake of calories,and eating healthy.
